We suggest that you do NOT use:

  • Trumpet Winsock dialer in the SVC Internet Valet software.

  • SPRY dialer in the Internet In A Box software.

You may need to have the Windows 95 CD or disks for the following procedures:

STEP II : Checking for Multiple Winsock.dll's

More than ONE winsock.dll on your hard drive will lead to problems in resolving hostnames. The Windows winsock.dll will equal about 42K in size. If you used old drivers in the past, make sure you use the proper one.!

  1. Click Start
  2. Click Find
  3. Select Files or Folders
  4. Type: winsock.dll (in the Named Box)
  5. Make sure Look In is set to c:\
  6. Click Find Now
  7. Delete multiple or old winsock.dll files
