Purpose: OfficeOnWeb has generated the capacity to view, send, file, or otherwise manipulate your e-mail through a web based interface. use https://www.yourbiz.com/webmail/ or for access only clients https://www.officeonweb.net/webmail and your user id an password sequence such as: myuserid+officeonweb.net accept the security certificate permanently and it is installed to protect you from sniffing activities. The purpose of web based e-mail is to allow our clients to operate their e-mail from any location that has the capacity to surf the web. For most people, its use will be limited to periods of travel. If your business does much with e-mail, with the exception of periods of travel, you will want to keep operating your e-mail client. The web based mail client has limitations so that your web site will not get overloaded with unproductive messages that clog your capacity to profit from your web site. You can use both an e-mail client and web based mail together. For your convenience, your e-mail client downloads ONLY mail in the inbox. Webmail may NOT be available on FrontPage enabled sites . Web based e-mail is a 'convenience' created for basic use. In general, it causes a heavy load on the server if used improperly. If you send and receive many attachments larger than 100K or like to save (indefinitely) emails that you send and receive, the web based email is not for you. An e-mail client will better server your needs. The web based e-mail client is limited to 5MB of total space use for all e-mails and attachments. Due to the increased server load of improper use, e-mails greater than 500Kb cannot be opened, viewed, or sent. Again, if this is the type of email you usually send and receive, an e-mail client will better server your needs. E-mails greater than 500Kb can only be sent to the trash in web mail. If you need to obtain attachments greater than this, leave them in the inbox and use your e-mail client to download it to your local computer. Once you move an e-mail out of the inbox you cannot read it through anything but web mail. If the attachment is too large, your only option them becomes placing it in your trash and having them resend it. Then you can use your e-mail client to receive the mail. The web based mail client is designed to be an augmentation to your business e-mailing efforts. Accordingly, it works in conjunction with an e-mail client if desired. If you have a very large e-mail, an overflow message will appear. First, try a refresh to make sure as the e-mail files may have been too busy to accurately determine if an error actually occurred. If so, then use the e-mail unclogged. If the mail is valid, you may want to use an actual e-mail client in place of web mail or in conjunction with it (our personal favorite). |
