Retrieving e-mail with Eudora Pro 4.0

This page will teach you how to set up Eudora Pro 4.0 to retrieve e-mail from your officeonweb POP accounts. To configure Eudora Pro 4.0, follow the instructions below.

We will use the example of an account with officeonweb with the following info:
         Domain name: xyz.com
       Userid: abcdefg
       E-mail: lastnamef@xyz.com

• Open Eudora Pro 4.0 and choose "Tools" from the menu bar.
  
  
• Choose "Options".
  
  
• In the column of icons on the left side of the dialog box, select the "Getting Started" icon.  Fill in these boxes as follows:
  
  Real name: Your First and Last Name
  Return address: lastnamef@xyz.com
  Mail Server (Incoming): xyz.com
  Login Name: abcdefg
  
  
  

• Now, in the column of icons on the left side of the dialog box, select the "Sending Mail" icon.  Fill in these boxes as follows:
           Return address: lastnamef@xyz.com
           SMTP server: xyz.com or smtp.safepages.com (if you have our dial up ) OR your ISP alternative designation (earthlink.net if you have earthlink dial up, etc.)

• Then click on "OK".
  
  
• Now to retrieve your mail, in the  Eudora Pro 4.0 window, choose "File" from the menubar, and then select "Check Mail".
